Steps to certification

  1. Complete certification requirements

    Active AMPP BCI Level 1 Certification

    Successful completion of the Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course or an equivalent training

  2. Take required exams

    Certification Exam - Bridge Coatings Inspector Level 2 Inspection Plan exam (administered in the classroom).

    Certification Exam - Bridge Coatings Inspector Level 2 Written/Essay exam (administered in the classroom).

  3. Submit an application for certification

    Complete and submit an application for BCI Level 2 certification (2 qualification references and 2 years (3,000 hours) bridge coating inspection work experience is required)

    Note: Prerequisite forms for this certification are no longer required.

  4. Agree to AMPP Terms of Service

Visit My Certification Portal to log and manage your work experience and Professional Development Hours (PDH's) needed. Your work experience and PDH's will be submitted as part of your renewal application but you can input PDH's at any time.
